Myints 3-minute gourmet veggies
You want to just heat and eat your food, but still want gourmet flavours? Myints 3-Minute Gourmet Veggies might be the thing for you.
A new entrant in the frozen snack food segment, Myints hopes to ride on a trend showing a demand for innovative, healthy and ready-to-eat snacks. Myints 3-Minute Gourmet Veggies are aimed at bridging the gap in the Indian frozen food market between what is available and what veggie lovers really want. Doing away with the ubiquitous deep-fried potatoes and cheese snacks that are high in calories and fat, Myints are low fat and low-calorie products made without any chemicals or preservatives.
Myints has been launched by Aneeta Myint, Founder & CEO, and her son Ankush Myint. Ashok Bansal as Co-Founder and CEO heads the business side of things. The Myints are a Punjabi-Burmese family from Port Blair, where Aneeta Myint and her husband ran a well-known restaurant chain, The China Room from the 1980s to the 2000s. After the devastation of the tsunami, the family moved to Delhi and their son learnt special recipes from his mother and set up a new enterprise, Kancha Cheena Foods Pvt Ltd.
Aneeta Myint is a seasoned F&B professional. An ex-Taj professional, she is a multi-faceted restaurateur, international chef trainer and speaker and was closely involved with the setting up of the Dishoom chain of restaurants in London.
Myints is ready-to-eat frozen food but with gourmet flavours. Currently five products are on offer: Grilled Vegetables with Special Thai Dip, which is actually a rainbow of fresh vegetables, gently charred; Herbed Baby Potatoes with Tomato Sesame Dip, well-spiced marinated baby potatoes with a dash of sweetish tomato chilli; Paneer Mix Cigars with Honey Mustard Dip, delicately rolled, crispy and light cigars having a mix of mung sprouts, rice noodles and paneer; Stuffed Mushroom Caps, with king-sized mushrooms procured from special farms, stuffed with a concoction of Thai herbs and fresh Paneer; and Paneer Pesto Fingers, not your typical paneer tikka.
The company has rolled out its products in Delhi and NCR initially and more offerings are in the R&D stage.
